 VISION STATEMENT:

VFCC strives to exceed the expectations of our stakeholders and continuously prove why our students consider us their #1 solution for fitness education, career connections, resources, and networking, as well social support and advocacy.

The Problem:

According to current veteran statistics we have over 25 million Americans who have served or are currently serving in the Armed Services. According to multiple government reports, approximately 5 million of these veterans have been discharged since 1990.  With so many veterans returning home in the last few years, we are seeing historic unemployment numbers with veterans. Veterans are in need of a sustainable and rewarding career option where they can support themselves and their families.

"Fitness Training [in a booming wellness industry nearing $1 Trillion], is "one of the 30 fastest growing jobs markets... ideal for veterans and transitioning service members." - Bureau of Labor Statistics

The Solution:

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (2011), “fitness training” as part of a booming wellness industry nearing $1 Trillion, falls under one of the “30 fastest growing job markets” in the country “ideal for transitioning veterans”.

With a recent rise in salary rates for fitness professionals, many veterans are finding opportunities to make twice the salary of what they could make in other career fields (i.e. $53,000 on average). In fact, Fitness Trainers who develop their business and sales skills commonly move on to become Fitness Managers and Gym Owners who will often make 2- 3 times this amount earning incomes from $100,000 - $150,000.

VFCC provides an unprecedented “red carpet” transition into a viable and sustainable fitness career by providing students an accredited Personal Fitness Training certification program offered through a state-of-the-art, flexible online learning management system.

Most uniquely, VFCC also provides:

  • Affordable financing options to ensure any prospective student, no matter their credit history, may begin our program with less than $200 to start.
  • Scholarships for veterans to assist with tuition provided by our non-profit partner, Military Musters.
  • Direct job placement with our career partners located at over 2000 locations throughout the United States to ensure immediate employment and financial stability.
  • A unique fitness entrepreneurship and business communication course to help our students learn proven strategies and best practices for building their clientele, assessing opportunities, and starting their own business.
  • Mentorships, apprenticeships and many other support services to assist students with career guidance, as well as emotional and social support through our global network of mentors and non-profit organizations.
  • Personal & Professional Development Programs for active duty military and veteran communities provided by our non-profit partner, Military Musters.

COMPARE OTHER FITNESS CERTIFICATIONS WITH VFCC's:

"I highly recommend the e-learning experience to all of my military friends and acquaintances.

- Brenden Graves, B.S.,VFCC Alumnus and USMC Veteran

"Transitioning to civilian life is among one of the biggest issues for vets today.  When we get home it's confusing and overwhelming with what do I do next. When I work out I feel less anxiety and depression and less tense, all of which stems from the PSTD.  That’s why a career in fitness is where I want to be for the rest of my time here on earth.  I was so amazed with the resources and information VFCC provides veterans. Thank you for all you do."

 - Justin Sikes, VFCC Alumnus and  Army Veteran

"VFCC has an awesome fitness training program.  I have recommended it to many veterans through my work with Swords to Plowshares and Vietnam Veterans of California.  At the Reitenbach Institute of Tae Kwon Do, we are working on a plan to incorporate the VFCC Fitness Training Certification Course as part of our programs for veterans and non-veterans. I have also made several referrals to government agencies because of his excellent company and program. It has been my privilege and an honor to work with VFCC"

- Michael Kissinger , Business Development Director at Profit Builders Inc. and Reitenbach Institute and Army Special Forces Veteran

"The VFCC Fitness Training Certificate Program is comprehensive and challenging.  The information is comparable to what you’d find in a course at a college or university.  What’s more, the course is 'taught' by an impressive roster of fitness professionals, some of whom are well known throughout the fitness industry. Having been employed in the fitness industry at the collegiate level since 1983, it’s my professional opinion that VFCC has developed a highly reputable certification program and I would recommend it to anyone in fitness."
